Summer Camp
German Summer Camp
For students aged 14 - 17 years, this course is a perfect combination of lessons and fun! The course combines formal classroom tuition with a varied programme of leisure activities, visits and excursions to introduce the students to German culture, sports and life.
The course runs from Sunday to Saturday and the minimum stay is 2 weeks.
Location
Situated on the river Main in the heart of Germany, Frankfurt is known for its significant impact on the political, cultural and business sectors. The glittering ‘Mainhattan’ skyline is something to behold, however in amongst this Frankfurt has not lost its traditional beauty. You will find streets of charming, half-timbered buildings huddled in the reconstructed medieval Old Town, outdoor cafés, boutiques, street art, beautiful gardens, riverside paths, a collection of museums to almost rival Berlin and Germany’s largest skatepark located right next to the European Central Bank.
After morning lessons and lunch, you will explore these popular spots with summer camp staff members.
Language Course
The language course comprises 20 lessons of 45 minutes length each, which concentrate on learning and actively using German. The school caters for students with a basic level of German to more advanced German speakers. The tuition is very much practice oriented, you will participate in group sessions alongside other students of a similar level, with lessons focused on improving all aspects of the language; speaking listening, reading and writing. There are 4 classes per day and these take place during the morning. Outside of lesson times there is a varied programme of leisure activities, visits and excursions to introduce you to German culture, sports and lifestyles.
You will be given a written assessment before you travel and a speaking assessment on the first morning before lessons in order to place you in the group most suited to your ability level. Classes have an international flavour and a lively feel because they are grouped by ability not nationality.
