France | Cannes | French Summer Camp Young Adults (16-17)

Location

Cannes is a picturesque city on the French Riviera, known worldwide for its glamorous atmosphere, stunning beaches, and prestigious film festival. However, beyond its modern glitz, Cannes has a rich history that dates back to ancient times. 

With its blend of history, culture, and natural beauty, Cannes is the perfect place to gain insight into both France’s heritage and its modern-day allure.

Language Course

The language course comprises 20 lessons of 45 minutes each.  The school caters for all abilities from beginners to more advanced French speakers. Classes use an active teaching method to foster young students’ enthusiasm for learning.  The tuition is very much practice oriented, you will participate in group sessions alongside other students of a similar level, with lessons focused on improving all aspects of the language, speaking listening, reading and writing.  These morning lessons are a combination of traditional classes & more interactive oral activities, prioritising a fun environment that is conducive to you gaining confidence in your oral language skills.

There is also an option to upgrade to 25 lessons per week for a supplement. Please note that this is not suitable for complete beginners.

During the afternoon there is a varied programme of supervised leisure activities, visits and excursions to introduce you to French culture, sports and lifestyles.

You will be given an assessment on the first morning before lessons to place you in the group most suited to your ability level. Classes have an international flavour and a lively feel because they are grouped by ability not nationality.

Activities

This Cannes summer camp is an activity programme designed for teenagers seeking independence and adventure.

On the first day of your camp, there will be a welcome meeting where you will receive a detailed weekly programme of activities.  The programme features adrenaline-inducing activities and free time opportunities for you to explore the local attractions.

There is a full day excursion every Saturday for those students staying longer than one week.

Activities vary from week to week to make sure that those that stay for multiple weeks experience variety within their programme.

The Summer Camp activities may include:

• Sports activities: snorkelling, tree climbing, sports games, private beach visits
• Sailing afternoon
• One half day visit to Cannes or Nice
• One full day excursion to Monaco, Nice or Aquasplash water park (if staying for more than 1 week)
• Evening entertainment: disco, casino night, BBQ, pool party, talent show

Accommodation & Supervision

The campus accommodation is located close to the centre of Cannes on a 7-acre site set within beautiful gardens.  From the campus, it’s just a short walk into the town centre and to its beaches.  On campus are classrooms, accommodation in twin rooms, a restaurant, swimming pool and sports pitches.

The accommodation is on a full-board basis, you will be provided breakfast, lunch and an evening meal within the campus restaurant.

School shuttle buses provide transportation for supervised excursions or free time, subject to parental permission.

Security and camp leaders are available at the campus 24hrs a day. Students have controlled curfews until 10pm (Mon-Thurs) and 1am (Fri & Sat) allowing them to leave campus unsupervised if parental permission is provided.

Transfers

Arrival and departure transfers are included at weekends to and from Nice Airport or Cannes Train station.

Availability

The Summer Camp runs Sunday–Saturday.

Due to public holidays on 14/07/2026 lessons will be replaced by a full day excursion or activity.
