Blue Stamp Travel offers a range of exciting opportunities to complete a work experience placement in Spain. Take your Spanish into the real world!

Work Experience Abroad: week-long full-day work placements, available for two weeks each year
Work and Study: intensive language course with half-day work placements and runs all year round.
Internships: longer placements for young adults aged 18+
Au Pair and Study: extended language course and placement as an Au Pair with a Spanish family.

For the ultimate immersive language experience, our Work Experience Abroad programme places students in week-long work experience placements in Alicante. The trips run twice annually, once in April with homestay, and once in July with hotel accommodation. Students travel from a UK airport, accompanied by an experienced Blue Stamp Travel group leader who supports, encourages and guides them throughout their work experience placements.

Structure and Content

Work Experience Abroad does exactly what the name suggests: full-time work placements in local businesses for one week. Typically, work placements comprise 20–30 hours’ activity from Monday to Friday, giving students the opportunity to immerse themselves in Spanish life and culture.

The Group Leader arranges activities and group meals to give students opportunities to socialise, share their experiences and enjoy spending time in Spain. At the end of the week, students are presented with a certificate in recognition of their achievements.

Work and Study combines an intensive language course of 20 lessons with half-day work placements with local businesses. The pacy, interactive courses cover speaking and listening, reading and writing, with a focus on encouraging students to use Spanish with fluency and confidence.

Designed to be challenging and rewarding, Work and Study courses are available in Alicante, Granada, Salamanca and Valencia. Courses are offered all year round (subject to language school availability).

Structure and Content

Typically, each day begins with language lessons at a language school in international classes of students working at the same level. The pacy, dynamic lessons are designed to encourage confidence and fluency in all aspects of speaking Spanish.

Work placements generally last around 15 hours between Monday and Friday and usually take place in the afternoon. They are an opportunity to speak Spanish in a real-life environment and gain valuable transferable skills. Find out more about our placement categories and how placements are allocated.
