Blue Stamp Travel offers a range of exciting opportunities to complete a work experience placement in France. Take your French into the real world!
Work Experience Abroad is all about authentic language learning, where A-level, IB and Highers students aged 16–19 to take French out of the classroom and into the real world. The trips run twice annually: once in April with homestay accommodation, and in July with hostel accommodation.
Students travel as a group under the supervision of one of our Group Leaders, a friendly and supportive adult who speaks the local language fluently. Throughout the students’ stay in France, the Group Leader is there to support, guide and assist students and help them get the most out of their work placements.
Work Experience Abroad does exactly what the name suggests: full-time work placements in local businesses for one week. Typically, work placements comprise 20–30 hours’ activity from Monday to Friday, giving students the opportunity to immerse themselves in French life and culture for a week.
The Group Leader arranges activities and group meals to give students opportunities to socialise, share their experiences and enjoy spending time in France. At the end of the week, students are presented with a certificate in recognition of their achievements.
Work and Study combines an intensive language course with work placements for students aged 16+. Students take their language skills out of the classroom and into the real world, promoting adaptability, fluency and independence.
With Work and Study courses in Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Montpellier, Nice, Paris, and Rouen, students can choose the destination that best fits their language goals, experience and travel plans. Courses are offered all year round, subject to language school availability.
Typically, each day begins with language lessons at a language school in international classes of students working at the same level. The pacy, dynamic lessons are designed to encourage confidence and fluency in all aspects of speaking French.
Work placements generally last a total of around 15 hours between Monday and Friday and usually take place in the afternoon. They are an opportunity to speak French in a real-life environment and gain valuable transferable skills. Find out more about our placement categories and how placements are allocated.
