A Level Revision Course

Designed to complement the study of Spanish at A-level, our A-level Revision Courses offer intensive group and 1:1 teaching to improve students’ skills in using Spanish at an advanced level.

The group classes are tailored to students’ ability levels and cover general aspects of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Studying in groups of mixed nationalities and ages gives students a rich and immersive experience while in Spain.

Additional 1:1 lessons allow students to specify in advance the syllabus topics they wish to cover. For example, they could focus on a set text, an aspect of speaking or points of grammar.

Please be aware that the A-level Revision Course is not designed around any one single examination board or specification. It is suitable for any student taking A-level, Leaving Certificate, Highers, Finals or similar examinations.

These courses are available every Monday to Friday throughout the year with accommodation Sunday to Saturday.

Named the European Capital of Culture in 2016, it’s a place where locals proudly share their traditions, and people of all ages gather to enjoy its lively streets and seaside views. Known worldwide for hosting the San Sebastián International Film Festival, the city is also a haven for surfers drawn to its rolling waves and beach lifestyle. Food lovers flock here to experience pintxos, the Basque take on tapas, and to dine in a city that boasts second most Michelin stars per capita after Kyoto in Japan. With its warm atmosphere and unique mix of culture, cuisine, and coastal energy, San Sebastián is a destination that captures the heart of every visitor.

Language Course

The core course comprises of 20 lessons taught, during four classes each morning, which concentrate on learning and actively using Spanish. You will participate in group sessions alongside other international students of a similar level, with lessons focused on improving all aspects of the language; speaking listening, reading and writing. The tuition is very much practice oriented.

You will have an additional 5 individual classes throughout the week, the content of which will be decided by you in advance. We will ask you before you travel what you would like to cover with your tutor during these individual sessions, for example a particular topic of study, grammar or pronunciation.

This course is designed for students who wish to rapidly improve their Spanish with a view to taking public examinations.

Before you travel you will be given a written examination and when you first arrive at the school, a speaking assessment will be taken before lessons. This will ensure you are in the group most suited to your ability level. Classes are grouped by ability not nationality or age, so they have a real international flavour and a vibrant feel.

Once your level of Spanish and class have been established you will be invited to purchase the text for your lessons. From B1 onwards, the textbook is included but for levels below this will be invited to buy a textbook for 30€. There is also an option to borrow these textbooks with a 50€ cash deposit.
