Blue Stamp Travel offers a range of exciting opportunities to complete a work experience placement in France. Take your French into the real world!

Work and Study: intensive language course with half-day work placements and runs all year round.
Work Experience Abroad: week-long full-day work placements, available for two weeks each year
Internships: longer placements for young adults aged 8+
Au Pair and Study: extended language course and placement as an Au Pair with a French family.

Work and Study

Work and Study combines an intensive language course with work placements for students aged 16+. Students take their language skills out of the classroom and into the real world, promoting adaptability, fluency and independence.

With Work and Study courses in Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Montpellier, Nice, Paris, and Rouen, students can choose the destination that best fits their language goals, experience and travel plans. Courses are offered all year round, subject to language school availability.

Structure and Content

Typically, each day begins with language lessons at a language school in international classes of students working at the same level. The pacy, dynamic lessons are designed to encourage confidence and fluency in all aspects of speaking French.

Work placements generally last between two and three hours and usually take place in the afternoon. They are an opportunity to speak French in a real-life environment and gain valuable transferable skills. Find out more about our placement categories and how placements are allocated.

Work Experience Abroad

This package is our longest running language experience and has placed thousands of students in a huge variety of workplaces in cities across Europe. It is the ideal package for a young adult wanting to improve their language skills and gain independence.

Students travel as a group under the supervision of one of our Group Leaders, a friendly and supportive adult who speaks the local language fluently. Throughout the students’ stay in France, the Group Leader is there to support, guide and assist students and help them get the most out of their work placements.

We welcome students enrolling individually, as a group of friends, or as members of the same class at school. The one-week trips run twice annually and include travel from a UK airport or St Pancras.

Internships Abroad

Au Pair and Study
