Course structure and content

An intensive language course typically comprises 20 lessons taught on weekday mornings. Classes are taught in international groups of students all working at the same level, so students enjoy learning at the correct standard and make rapid progress. The pacy, interactive courses cover speaking and listening, reading and writing, with a focus on encouraging students to use Spanish with fluency and confidence.

For students who prefer smaller, more walkable cities, Alicante, Granada, Salamanca and San Sebastian are fantastic destinations: safe, welcoming and the ideal size to explore during a short visit. Alicante is a pretty city on the coast with a fantastic beach right on the doorstep – perfect to relax after a hard day’s lessons at language school. When you study Spanish in Granada you will be inspired by the city’s extraordinary history and especially the fabulous UNESCO World Heritage Alhambra Palace complex. Authentically Spanish Salamanca is a great destination for a language course, and, as home to one of Spain’s most prestigious universities, this picturesque city enjoys a thriving cultural life. The resort of San Sebastian, on Spain’s north coast, is proud of its unique identity, with exceptional opportunities for surfing and a culture of gastronomy renowned around the world.

Most students choose homestay accommodation for their Intensive Language Course for the chance to experience local life at first-hand. Activity Programmes

Each language school offers a bespoke programme of cultural activities during the afternoons and at weekends so students get to make friends and make the most of their stay in Spain. Typical activities include city tours and treasure hunts, photo rallies, beach games or sports, cookery classes, dancing and film evenings. Activity programmes vary from week to week and are generally announced at the beginning of each week. Some activities are offered at an additional charge.
