ICEF Berlin: “The Conference of the Year”

“The Conference of the year”

The Berlin ICEF conference 2025 marked the 30th Anniversary of the largest annual meet-up for the international education industry. My colleague Will and I were lucky enough to join along. As my first conference, it was quite intimidating to be part of such a monumental event, but certainly a lot of fun! The ICEF team put together a great event, thousands of educators, agents and service providers all in one hotel to discuss the year gone by and upcoming targets and changes to be aware of!

What is ICEF?

At Blue Stamp Travel, we are proud of our ICEF agency status, demonstrating our professional conduct and commitment to high standards of international education. We work hard to maintain this standard by collaborating with partners worldwide who share the same ethos and strive for the highest standards. Every year, we are reviewed to ensure that we are maintaining the highest standards so that you can always trust our practices.

If there is one thing I have learnt from my time at Blue Stamp, it is how to build and maintain positive working partnerships with people from all over the world. Sometimes this takes the form of small talk and fun emojis over email, but to see these people and really talk in person is certainly the most enriching way! The annual ICEF conference enables us to be under the same roof as many of our partners to have these wonderful conversations in more depth and maintain our relationships that make Blue Stamp special!

Berlin

Even though I have successfully helped many students with their travels to Berlin, I have never been to the city itself. I had high expectations, and they were easily met! We had a day to explore the city at the end of the 3-day conference before we jetted back to the UK that evening. I was very grateful for the time we had to explore, as it was not only personally amazing to see such a historically significant city, but it was great to see and use the transport links myself and understand the public transport systems in Berlin. Investigation trips like this are crucial to offering the best advice to parents and students who are beginning or in the middle of their language immersion experiences.

Following a long lull of German taught in the UK, we are seeing a slow increase in students travelling to the country. Either through group school trips, our work & study, or intensive language and summer camp programmes. Click here to see what we offer in Berlin.
